The lunchboxworld.co.uk website (and any related website) (“Website”) is designed as a community for like-minded people with an interest in the well-being of children and adults, especially as regards to lunchboxes, packed lunches and healthy eating. The nature of the Website and its community ethos means that the operators of the Website, will obtain, record, store, use and disclose (together “Use”) certain personal information (“Personal Information”) relating to registered members and other visitors and users of the Website. This statement sets out the principles governing Our Use of your Personal Information, the conditions that you agree to in using the Website. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
In most cases we simply collect your email address when you enter it into a comment form, or subscribe to our newsletter. Other data is collected as follows:
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
If you use the contact form on the Lunchbox World website, you will be asked to enter your name and email address so that I can reply to you. I keep those details only as long as our email conversation is open. Once an email thread is deleted, I no longer have access to your details. In some cases I will ask if I can keep your contact details for a future opportunity. I will only do this if you have given me your permission to do so.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you enter a competition or giveaway on this site, your data is processed through Rafflecopter for the purposes of entry moderation and selection of a winner. You can see Rafflecopter’s privacy policy here. If you win a giveaway prize, your email address (any any other contact methods left by you) will be shared with the promoter, for the purposes of arranging delivery of your prize.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data
Your data is never taken from this website and stored elsewhere. All my online systems are password protected, and monitored by a Wordfence security alert plugin to which I have the only access.
1. When you use the services contained on the Website you will need to provide certain Personal Information such as your name and e-mail address. We will store this Personal Information and use it to provide you with information and other services in the normal course of operation of the Website. 2. We may transfer or disclose Personal Information to other companies, to our professional advisers and to such other parties as we consider necessary, in the administration of the Website and our related businesses or if required to disclose such information by law.
