Cookit! Competition – Final Call for Young Cooks!

April 20, 2009 by Caroline Job Leave a Comment

Back to school hoorah! But at the same time back to work mmm!

Whilst on the internet looking for more material for the website, I came across a great competition for getting kids into the kitchen to cook.

Cookit! is the name of the competition, run by the Guild of Food Writers.

Top TV Chef Mike Robinson is supporting the Cookit! 2009 competition and High Five is the theme (you have to be thinking of your 5 a day and prepare two courses – main and a pud).

Children have to be aged 10-14 but the prize is great! 6 Finalists are selected to attend a Cook Off in London in June, then the winner gets the family holiday on a working dairy farm in Jersey! Runner up prizes include ice cream makers and a cookery course.

To find out more, parents can visit http://www.gfw.co.uk/children .

Deadline is 23 April so you will have to think quickly and submit your entries fast!
