We try and take part in this whenever the theme strikes a cord and we feel we have something to add.
We tried to be clever and capture 11.11.11 at 11.11am with this receipt at the supermarket.
I mean you can’t fudge this can you? With a clock, you can cheat…
Well the queue was so long and the check-out girl sooooo slow, we managed to get 11/11/11 at 11.35am – in my book, that’s pretty close…
We then walked passed the local memorials to look at the flowers and the local graveyards too. And wondered about poppies, and other flowers…
Then I found this lovely Remembrance Day poem that sums up why the poppy for those inquisitive children…. and gently explains what the poppy symbolises and why… Beautiful. (We found it on the Anzac Day website)
What were you doing on 11.11.11?
To see what others got up to, hop on over to Sticky Fingers…
This is day #14 of the #NaBloPoMo and we’ll be blogging all month, well I mean, posting every day this month so do keep popping back or get the updates emailed straight to your inbox – simply “subscribe!” or follow us @lunchboxworld on social media.

I took my kids to a great play park and had a lovely day and on the way home I got a text to say that my neice gave birth to her 3rd child earlier that day. What a great birthday to have!

Thanks for the lovely comments. There were some more but seem to have disappeared! I may just print off the poem and frame it… Nikki: Wish your neice lots of luck and grab a sit down whenever the opportunity presents itself!
