Our Top 5 Recommended Lunchbox Books

August 15, 2013 by Caroline Job Leave a Comment

We are often asked by our readers what books would we recommend when packing a lunchbox. So after much searching, we’ve put together our top 5 recommended lunchbox books.

With Back to School never seeming that far away and almost always just around the corner, this is a great time to get prepared for packing those lunches again. If you browse now, you’ve got time to get the book before term starts, or if you need fresh inspiration half way through term, these are great books for lunchbox inspiration.
To help you, we’ve put in the links so you can just click through and browse the books with ease… So here’s our top five.

1 Annabel Karmel’s “Lunchboxes”

I love the books by Annabel Karmel. All my 3 kids were weaned by using her books, particularly the Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner. To have a browse, click through to Amazon to learn more about it: Annabel Karmel Lunchboxes book.

2 “Black and Blum Lunch box Revolution Book”

If you’re looking for more adventurous lunch box meal ideas, then do check out Black and Blum Lunchbox Revolution book. Some really interesting and tasty ideas here!

3 “Funky Lunch” by Mark Northeast
We just love Mark Northeast with his “Funky Lunch” Food art. It is definitely one of our favourites when it comes to making lunch FUN!

To find out more, click For Funky Lunch Happy Food For Happy Children  – these books are just great for the bookshelf to dip in and out of, and they really are super quick and easy. Just you watch your child’s face when you’ve created one of these ideas!

4 “Not Just Sandwiches” by Jenny Tschieche

Jenny, aka Lunchbox Doctor lives really locally and she very kindly gave me a copy when we first met. It is a great resource for when you want to avoid sandwiches or if you have kids with food intolerances. And when you get into the book, you realise there are so many different ways to make a packed lunch without using bread.

5  “The Healthy Lunchbox” by Fiona Beckett

This is another great read. Do check it out by following the link The Healthy Lunchbox Book

So these are our top five recommended lunchbox books.

Now if you’ve come across a great book full of lunchbox inspiration, and you think we should know about it, do share with us and let us know!

We can then add it to the list!

Happy lunch packing! And remember we are all in this together. So let’s stay out of that lunch box rut!
