Fun Friday Treat for your Lunchbox – Modern Milk

May 6, 2011 by Caroline Job Leave a Comment

We recently received this bundle of goodies to review on the Lunchbox World website and they featured in our Hints and Tips section as a great alternative snack when you’re craving something just a little bit naughty…
Well, at long last we’ve whipped them out of the chiller and put them to the test in today’s lunch box.
Our opinion is unanimous. They are a perfect addition to any lunch, adults, kids alike will all love them!
Our favourite has to be the Milk Chocolate with a hint of caramel, just soooo creamy… Second fave was the Ripe Strawberry with raspberry.  We also tried the Lush Banana with Honey and the Smooth Coffee with a hint of Vanilla – so the full family!
The team all agree that they are ALL scrum-diddly-umptious! We will definitely be buying these and popping them in the lunch box for our own brood for that fun friday treat.  Just make sure they are really chilled before quenching that thirst / craving.
Our advice: pop in a couple of extra ice packs for good measure to make sure they stay extra cool for lunch time. Oh, and pop in a straw, just makes the whole experience somehow more special!
If I am honest, I am not a huge milk fan, the brood is though, (they live on Nesquick) but having tried these, they are somehow different to your regular milk.
They come in a handy 330ml size, so not like some other milkshakes that are just too big to consume all in one go.  The other great thing about them is they are full of goodness, milk for one, but also enriched with extra vitamin D, fibre and loaded with calcium and more.
They have a creamy full bodied taste, without being overly sweet and are simply perfect for busy folk on-the-go.
So why not give them a try the next time you shop?
Priced at £1.29 they are surely worth a punt?
To find out more, hop over to Modern Milk for the full run down.
If you’ve seen them in your local supermarket, (they stock them at Tesco for sure) and you’ve tried them yourself, do tell us what you think.
Thanks for stopping by!
